Where Can I Practise A-Level Economics Exam Questions Online?

1 min read

The best online A-Level Economics practice combines official exam-board past papers with topic-by-topic questions and timed full-paper work. For Cambridge International 9708, use Cambridge's official papers for authentic exam material, then use syllabus-mapped practice to target specific weaknesses.

Start with official past papers

Cambridge publishes past papers, mark schemes, examiner reports and specimen material for Economics 9708. That should be your source of truth for the exam itself.

Use topic practice before full papers

Full papers are most useful once the content is reasonably secure. Earlier in revision, focused practice is often more efficient because you can isolate one skill, see why an answer was wrong and repeat the same kind of reasoning immediately.

  • Weak on elasticity? Practise elasticity questions together rather than waiting for one to appear in a full paper.

  • Weak on exchange rates? Do a short focused set, then return to a full paper later.

  • Keep a mistakes list so repeated errors become revision targets.

Switch to timed papers near the exam

Once topic-level accuracy is more stable, use complete papers under time pressure. Mark them with the official mark scheme and examiner report rather than judging an answer by how fluent it sounds.

A free CIE 9708 option

Excel in Economics provides free CIE 9708 revision notes and past-paper practice organised by syllabus topic, with instant explanations after practice. It is designed to sit alongside the official Cambridge material, not replace it.
